Maxim 55 Special

Performance-oriented design meets refined open-air living in this 1998 Cantieri di Sarnico Maxim 55 Special. Measuring 17.1 meters in length with a 4.6-meter beam, this vessel offers a spacious layout featuring three cabins and three bathrooms, making it well-suited for extended coastal travel. The hull is constructed from Vetroresina, supporting a cruise speed of 30 knots and a maximum speed of 39 knots. At the heart of this used boat are two MAN D2840LE401 engines, each delivering 800 HP. A comprehensive mechanical overhaul was performed in 2019, including internal component replacements such as pistons, valves, and cylinder liners, with approximately 500 hours logged since the refit. The engine room maintenance is current, with saltwater piping replaced in 2023 and various auxiliary systems serviced in 2024, including the hull carena at zero. Exterior comfort and aesthetics have been meticulously maintained. The cockpit and swimming platform feature solid teak installed in 2020. The vessel includes two sets of Sunbrella awnings—one beige (2020) and one black (2021)—complete with full cockpit enclosure and micro-perforated side panels. Additional technical updates include a 2022 winch revision and 2024 hydraulic gangway service. This open yacht is currently located in Sicilia, with VAT paid.
