Designed for demanding offshore conditions, the Luhrs 40 Open is a robust sport fishing vessel known for its stability and expansive cockpit. This 2004 model is built from fiberglass and features a distinctive Green England hull finish, complemented by a swim platform that was extended in 2022 to improve water access. The cockpit is configured for serious big game fishing, equipped with a tuna tower, fighting chair, outriggers, rod holders, and both live bait and fish storage tanks. Propulsion is provided by twin 440 HP Yanmar 6 CXM-GTE diesel engines with 890 hours of service.
