Designed by Andrea Vallicelli and built by Comar, this Comet 12 represents a significant piece of sailing history. As a former One Tonner, this 12.63-meter vessel balances high-performance racing capabilities with the versatility of a capable cruiser. The hull is constructed from fiberglass, offering a robust platform for both offshore adventures and coastal sailing.
The vessel features a spacious interior layout suitable for a crew of up to 8 people, comprising three cabins and two baths. The living quarters provide a comfortable environment, including a large main saloon, galley, and a deep aft sail locker. The interior highlights include recent 2025 refinements such as repainted furniture and flooring, reflecting the current owner's dedication to maintenance.
Technically equipped for reliability, the boat was re-powered with a Yanmar engine in 2006, which underwent a full service in 2025 including belt and impeller replacement. The sailing profile is supported by a mast overhauled in 2020 and a forestay replaced in 2023. Additional technical highlights include a 2021-serviced Max Prop 3-blade propeller and modern electronics installed in 2020.
Scheduled for a hull polish and deck anti-slip treatment in March 2026, the boat is presented in excellent condition. The exterior aesthetic was refreshed with a hull paint job in 2020 and deck painting in 2023, while comfort in the cockpit is ensured by a 2023 teak installation and a new extendable cockpit table.
This used boat is currently available in Italy for 38.000 EUR. The price includes VAT paid status, and the sale is subject to agency commissions.
