Defined by the sharp design of Andrea Vallicelli, this Comet 12 represents a significant piece of Italian yachting history. Launched in the late eighties as a high-performance One Tonner, the vessel balances sleek exterior lines with a surprising amount of interior volume. The hull measures 12.63 meters, providing a substantial platform for both coastal cruising and offshore racing.
At the heart of the vessel is a 2006 Yanmar 3JH48 CE 40hp engine, which has clocked 1250 hours and underwent a full service in 2025, including a belt and impeller replacement. The mechanical health is supported by a history of consistent upgrades, including the 2020 replacement of the autoclave and battery bank. The propulsion system features a Map Prop 3-blade propeller, which was serviced in 2021.
Inside, the cabin layout is designed for long-term comfort, featuring three cabins and two bathrooms. The living area is complemented by a generous saloon and a functional galley. Recent interior refinements include a 2025 refurbishment of the furniture and floorboards. For sail handling, the inventory includes two mainsails (one of which is battened and was reconditioned in 2024), two genoa sails, a jib, and both a spinnaker and gennaker.
Deck hardware and structural components have been systematically maintained to ensure reliability. The standing rigging was overhauled in 2020, and the forestay was replaced in 2023. Further exterior work in 2023 included the installation of a new teak cockpit and an extendable cockpit table. A scheduled delivery for March 2026 includes hull polishing and anti-slip surface renewal to ensure the boat arrives in top condition.
