Built in 2024 and maintained in excellent condition, this YYachts Y8, named "Calabash," represents the latest evolution of the design by Javier Jaudenes. The construction utilizes a full-carbon hull, deck, mast, and boom, keeping the displacement under 40 tons while ensuring high performance. The aesthetic is defined by minimalist Scandinavian interiors curated by David Thulstrup, offering a sophisticated living environment on the water. Technical performance is managed by a 195 hp Yanmar engine with only 50 hours of operation, supported by a 1,300-liter fuel capacity. Maneuverability is enhanced through retractable bow and stern thrusters. The sail plan is optimized for efficiency, featuring Harken electric winches, a hydraulic jib halyard tensioner, and a 2024 Doyle sail inventory that includes a square-top mainsail, self-tacking jib, Code 0, and two gennakers.
