About

Classic wood boat enthusiasts will appreciate this 1963 Abbate Tullio Villa d’Este, an exceptional example of Italian utility boat craftsmanship from Lake Como. Built with a robust double-layer mahogany hull, this vessel stands as a testament to the build quality that defined the era. Having been under the care of only two owners throughout its history, the boat remains in good condition, reflecting a legacy of careful preservation. This specific vessel has undergone significant restoration to ensure its longevity. After a partial restoration in 2005, it received a total refit in 2016 by a specialized Italian shipyard, which included a full replacement of the bottom and side planks. Power is delivered by its original, matching-number Chris-Craft 283 engine, ensuring authentic performance with a cruising speed of 30 knots and a maximum speed of 37 knots. With only six of these Super versions still in existence, this boat is a rare find for collectors. It measures 5.6 meters in length with a 2-meter beam, providing a stable platform for up to 6 passengers. During the winter months, the boat is stored indoors in a dry environment to maintain the integrity of the wood. Small finishing interventions on the wooden elements are currently required to bring it to its full potential. This Abbate Tullio Villa d’Este is located in Italia and is offered at 55.000 EUR with VAT paid. Please contact the agency for further information regarding this historic piece of maritime history.
