About
A LITTLE HISTORY… The Asterie boat was born following the discontinuation of the famous Bertram Moppie, which had enjoyed great success in the Gulf of Saint Tropez. To fill this “gap,” Pascal VILLANOVA decided to build his own vessel, incorporating all the qualities found in the Bertram while adding his own personal touch and experience. The result is a simple, sturdy, and seaworthy boat with a user-friendly cockpit, all while meeting the specifications demanded by a professional with a solid background in mechanics. Everything inside is designed with quality and durability in mind. While the Astérie is primarily a day cruiser intended for day trips, it has the advantage of being equipped with a cabin featuring a full bathroom with a shower. The interior features ample storage with cabinets and closets and boasts a fairly minimalist design that allows it to withstand the test of time in a marine environment. EXTERIOR LAYOUT The most essential part of this boat is located on the exterior. First, access is via a spacious swim platform that can be fitted with an optional superb built-in swim ladder featuring 4 telescoping rungs. After passing through a gate as sturdy as a security door, the aft cockpit features a magnificent sun deck consisting of 3 removable sections with headrests. This surface serves as an engine cover which, when raised by a hydraulic cylinder, reveals the spacious engine room. NAVIGATION Equipped with two Yanmar diesel engines, this model reaches a cruising speed of 25 knots with fuel consumption at this speed of just 50 liters. With its width and very low center of gravity, the Astérie has good overall balance while rising slightly at mid-speed to avoid spray.
