The increase in the foresail triangle allows for juggling between the large self-tacking jib and the downwind sails. The elongation of the mainsail height has indeed reduced the size of the boom. It ensures performance and maneuverability, while the mass centering limits pitching. From the wheel, the unobstructed view of the outside and access to all maneuvers guarantee perfect control, even with a reduced crew. Only two small steps separate the swim platforms from the cockpit, a large terrace level with the salon. Protected but ventilated, the cockpit is a permanent invitation to laziness. A bridge between the interior and the ocean, the cockpit of the Lagoon 42 multiplies relaxation spaces and facilitates communication. Well separated, the navigation station remains accessible at all times. The large table that can accommodate eight to ten guests does not hinder movement or access to comfort and storage equipment. Reflecting the exterior shapes, the arrangement signed by Nauta Design combines elegance and the softness of modern cabinetry. Available in a three or four cabin version, the Lagoon 42 can accommodate up to twelve passengers when the saloon table is converted into a double berth and the bows are fitted out. Whichever option is chosen, the immense saloon remains identical, in line with Lagoon standards: panoramic view of the outside, exceptional ventilation, smooth circulation, and valuable durable materials. The kitchen unfolds on either side of the large sliding glass door. Practical at anchor and at sea due to its "U" shaped layout, it favors immediate access to storage, large cold volumes, natural ventilation, and generous worktop surfaces.
