About

Expertly crafted by Cantieri Merani in Civitanova Marche, this 1959 Merani ALISEO remains a striking example of classic wooden boat building. Measuring 9.15 meters in length with a 2.75-meter beam and 1.5-meter draft, this sloop has benefited from significant historical interventions to preserve its structural and aesthetic integrity. Following a total renovation in 1993/1994, which included a sail plan enlargement, the yacht underwent an extensive refitting process in 2003/2004. This major work covered a full hull revision, a complete exterior paint job, and the restoration of the teak decks. Further maintenance in 2011 included the replacement of batteries and chargers, alongside regular annual engine servicing to ensure continued reliability. The deck inventory is extensive for a boat of this class, featuring two mainsails, a staysail, genoa, jib, storm jib, and a gennaker. Below deck, the layout offers a functional dinette, a galley, one bathroom, and accommodation for up to five guests, making it a viable choice for enthusiasts of classic sailing. Technical autonomy is supported by two stainless steel water tanks of 100 liters each and a 180-liter stainless steel fuel tank. The vessel is currently located in Italy and is offered with VAT paid, providing a straightforward acquisition process for prospective buyers interested in a storied wooden sloop.
