Designed by Oliver Petit, the Jeanneau Sun 2000 is a versatile sailing cruiser that draws inspiration from the high-performance Mini 6.50 class. With a length of 6.2 meters, it features a squared-off stern, a beam carried well aft, and a vertical bow. Its design philosophy prioritizes ease of use and quick handling, making it a suitable choice for club regattas and coastal cruising.
Practicality is central to this model's appeal. It is fully carrellabile (trailerable), an operation made straightforward by the removable external rudder and a swing keel that allows for a reduced draft of just 30 centimeters when retracted, compared to a standard draft of 1.6 meters. The fractionated rig supports a manageable jib, which can be swapped for an asymmetric spinnaker flown from the retractable bowsprit.
Accommodation is intelligently organized within the compact layout. The interior centers around an oval table, providing four berths, a sink, and a dedicated chart table. While the spacious cockpit offers excellent ergonomics for sailing maneuvers, it maintains a balance with the interior living space. This unit is equipped with Tack Tick instrumentation and a roller furler system for simplified sail management.
This 2012 model is offered as a used boat in Italy and includes a road trailer, which was overhauled in 2011 and remains in excellent condition.
