Expertly designed by Henry Gruber and built in 1950 in Bremen, Gilla represents a classic era of maritime craftsmanship. This 15.45-meter vessel is constructed with a traditional planked hull, utilizing teak for the underwater sections and mahogany for the topsides. Following a history that includes multiple Atlantic crossings and competitive success at Antigua Classic Week, the vessel underwent a total refit and restoration at the Fano shipyards in 2003. Performance remains central to this vintage yacht, which has proven its sailing capabilities in numerous AIVE gatherings across the Adriatic. Known for its ability to perform on a close-hauled point of sail, the yacht continues to be active in the Mediterranean circuit, including recent appearances at the 2024 Vele Storiche Viareggio and Argentario Sailing Week.
