Ferretti 670: design, versions and used-boat guide
An independent Ferretti 670 guide covering specifications, the 2018-to-2024 version boundary, used-boat checks and observed Batoo asking prices.

In brief
The Ferretti 670 is a 20.24-metre LOA flybridge for owners seeking extensive outdoor living, three or four cabins and strong performance. It suits experienced crews planning substantial cruising; its main caveat is the need to separate original-generation boats from the 2024 restyle and to verify each used yacht’s systems, costs and documentation.

The Ferretti 670 is a roughly twenty-metre flybridge built around three outdoor social zones, an open-plan main deck and a three- or four-cabin lower deck. This guide focuses on the original generation introduced in 2018, including the two 2021 examples observed by Batoo. The extensively restyled yacht unveiled in 2024 must be treated as a separate version whenever equipment, décor or layout details are compared.
Design, dimensions and specifications in context
Ferretti currently publishes a 20.24 m length overall, a 19.29 m hull length, a 5.38 m maximum beam and a 1.68 m draft. The Batoo dossier records 19.29 m as “length” and 1.60 m draft for the 2021 boats. The first figure matches the yard’s hull length rather than LOA, while the eight-centimetre draft difference remains unresolved. Berth contracts, insurance and regulatory decisions should rely on the individual yacht’s papers, never an average of incompatible values.
| Item | Ferretti official figure | Batoo 2021 observation | Editorial interpretation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Length overall | 20.24 m | not separated | confirm LOA in yacht documents |
| Hull length | 19.29 m | 19.29 m called length | likely a definition difference |
| Maximum beam | 5.38 m | 5.38 m | consistent |
| Draft | 1.68 m | 1.60 m | unresolved for the individual boat |
| Fuel / water | 3,800 / 1,000 l | absent from dossier | official model data only |
The yard also lists 41,000 kg unladen displacement and 48,300 kg laden, with 18 people on board. These are design figures, not blanket permission to carry eighteen people in every jurisdiction or sea state. Certification, safety inventory, loading and the limitations stated for the specific hull remain controlling.
Variants, engines and the 2024 restyle boundary
The original yacht was offered with three or four guest cabins, separate crew accommodation and three flybridge treatments: open, roll bar with integrated bimini, or hard top. Ferretti also announced a Tai He Ban arrangement for Asia-Pacific, moving the galley below and revising the main-deck dining area. Those choices materially alter circulation, storage and service patterns, so a model name alone is not a complete specification.
Both 2021 entries in the dossier state twin MAN V8 1200 engines, 1,200 hp each, and 180 declared hours. Ferretti associated that engine rating with preliminary maximum and cruise speeds of 32 and 28 knots; 1,000 mhp MAN engines were another factory choice. Brochure speeds are not survey results. Load, hull cleanliness, propellers, weather and mechanical condition determine what an individual yacht will achieve and consume.
The version unveiled in 2024 retains the principal dimensions but adds revised exterior styling, a hard top with an opening centre section, Ideaeitalia interiors in Classic or Contemporary moods, and reworked seating and storage. Its published standard package uses twin MAN V8 1000 engines, with V8 1200s optional. Ferretti gives preliminary pairs of 28/25 knots and 32/28 knots respectively for maximum/cruise speed. A 2021 yacht should not inherit those restyled details unless a documented refit proves it.
Reasoned strengths and limitations
The design’s strongest idea is separation without isolation. The aft cockpit and platform, foredeck lounge and flybridge let several groups use the yacht simultaneously, while the full-beam owner’s area can prioritise either a private study or an extra cabin. A side door from the main helm to the starboard walkway is also useful when line handling with a small crew.
That abundance creates obligations. Three lived-in levels bring more drains, canvas, upholstery, glazing and exposed fittings to inspect. A high flybridge increases windage in harbour, while a hard top, tender lift and any stabilisers add machinery with separate service histories. Two large diesels, generators, air conditioning and hotel systems make operating costs structurally significant; low engine hours alone cannot describe them.
The four-cabin plan sacrifices the study associated with the owner’s suite. Three cabins suit an owner who values longer stays and private working space, but reduce guest-bed capacity. Neither is inherently superior. The decision should follow actual guest numbers, whether professional crew will live aboard, and how often the boat will move rather than remain a waterfront base.
Ideal use and owner profile
The 670 suits planned coastal and offshore cruising for an owner seeking generous outdoor living, separated sleeping areas and planing-flybridge performance. It may be run by an experienced family crew, but its size, power and system count deserve an honest skills assessment and professional support where appropriate. It is a poor fit for priorities centred on minimal fuel burn, simple maintenance or routine access to berths below twenty metres.
Prospective owners should rehearse a real week aboard: guests, tender, water toys, provisions, luggage and service routines. During a visit, watch how people cross between galley, dining area and cockpit, because photographs conceal blocked passages, machinery noise and sightlines. Crew quarters are valuable only if their access, ventilation and facilities meet the intended operating pattern.
Used-boat checks before commitment
An independent survey should begin with hull identity, CE documentation and the match between build year, hull number, layout and machinery. Ownership, VAT position, liens, casualty history and maintenance need original evidence. Listing statements define questions for inspection; they are not inspection findings.
The hull and deck review should include surveyor-led moisture testing, evidence of impact or repair, windows, sealants, rails, drains and tender platform. Machinery work should cover cold starts, fluid analysis, exhausts, mounts, shaft lines, propellers, steering, seacocks and loaded operation. The declared 180 hours may appear modest, yet inactivity never replaces calendar-based maintenance and says nothing by itself about corrosion, seals or cooling circuits.
Hotel systems deserve a full test away from shore power: generators, batteries, inverter, climate control, fresh and waste water, pumps, galley equipment, electronics and fire protection. Where fitted, joystick, dynamic positioning, gyro stabilisers, opening hard top, watermaker and tender lift should be identified by serial number, operated and matched to invoices and service intervals. A sea trial with an engine specialist should record rpm, pressures, temperatures, vibration and speed without presenting one successful run as a future guarantee.
Alternatives and comparison questions
| Model | Why shortlist it | Deciding question |
|---|---|---|
| Azimut 66 | similarly sized Italian flybridge | which layout and local support fit better? |
| Princess F70 | cruise-focused flybridge proposition | does extra space justify berth and running costs? |
| Sunseeker Manhattan 68 | British alternative with extensive outdoor living | do its circulation and interior style suit your crew? |
Compare like years, propulsion and equipment. Prices from neighbouring models do not automatically value a 670 because condition, tax, location and refit scope may outweigh badge differences. Equivalent visits, document checks and surveys create a useful comparison; option counts in advertisements do not.
Observed asking price and Batoo methodology
The dossier contains two active Batoo offers, both described as 2021 yachts and both asking €2,370,000. The observed range is therefore €2,370,000–€2,370,000 from a sample of two advertisements. It is not a valuation or evidence of completed sale prices, and identical numbers do not make the sample more representative. The entries also appear materially duplicated in data and imagery, so they should not be interpreted as two independent transactions.
The method groups asking prices from eligible active Batoo offers in this dossier by currency. Tax, commission, specification, condition, year, deferred work and negotiation may all change the final amount. Batoo analysis therefore keeps the visible asking figure separate from technical value, which requires survey findings, documentary review and a broader comparable search.
