Pardo Yacht 43: design, versions and used guide
A source-grounded guide to the 2019–2024-era Pardo Yacht 43, covering official specifications, IPS variants, used checks, alternatives and observed Batoo asking prices.

In brief
The Pardo Yacht 43 is a 14-metre walkaround for owners who prioritize open-deck living, anchoring and fast weekends. The 2019–2024-era design combines continuous side decks, two sleeping areas and Volvo IPS power. Its main caveat is limited weather protection, while specifications for today’s evolved P43 must not be confused with those of earlier boats.

The Pardo Yacht 43 is a 14-metre walkaround built around outdoor movement, a reverse bow and Volvo Penta IPS propulsion. This guide focuses on the generation represented by the 2019 and 2024 boats observed on Batoo. Pardo's current P43 page describes an evolved model, so its capacities and draft should not be silently applied to earlier boats.
Design, specifications and version boundaries
The official 2024 brochure gives the listed-era Pardo 43 an overall length of 14.00 m, a 12.80 m hull length, 4.20 m maximum beam and 1.05 m draft. Approximate displacement is 11.7 tonnes, with 1,200 litres of fuel and 300 litres of fresh water. These are design figures rather than a certified lightship measurement for every example; options, stores and later alterations affect weight and trim.
| Item | 2024-brochure Pardo 43 | Evolved P43 on current page |
|---|---|---|
| Overall length | 14.00 m | 14.00 m |
| Maximum beam | 4.20 m | 4.20 m |
| Draft | 1.05 m | 1.20 m |
| Fuel | 1,200 L | 1,300 L |
| Water | 300 L | 400 L |
| IPS choices | 500; optional 600/650 | 500; optional 600/650 |
Those differences are not an invitation to average the numbers. The live factory page concerns an evolution with larger tanks and a different stated draft. A buyer should identify the build year, hull number, delivered layout and applicable manual before treating any figure as relevant to a particular boat. Displacement also differs across official material and listings, so it remains a version or loading question until documents and a survey resolve it.
The period brochure specifies a V-hull with 16 degrees of transom deadrise and more than 50 degrees at the bow. It describes vinylester vacuum infusion, a monolithic keel and bottom, and high-density PVC sandwich construction for the topsides and deck. A carbon T-top, pillarless windscreen and continuous side decks organize the helm and connect the forward sunpad with the aft social area.
Below deck, the basic programme combines a forward double area, an aft sleeping area and one head with a separate shower. The factory brochure distinguishes standard and optional layouts. Both Batoo observations record two cabins and one head, but that small sample does not establish a universal arrangement for every Pardo 43.
Engines and variants: confirm hardware, not badges
For this generation, the factory table lists twin Volvo IPS 500 units at 370 hp each, with IPS 600 at 440 hp and IPS 650 at 480 hp as options. The dossier's Batoo observations comprise a 2019 boat with twin D6-435/IPS600 engines, 870 hp combined and 380 stated hours, plus a 2024 boat with twin D6-480/IPS650 engines, 960 hp combined and 180 stated hours. Hours are listing data, not an independent audit.
An IPS badge alone does not prove output, service history or performance. Engine and drive plates, serial numbers, invoices, service intervals and diagnostic records should agree. During a sea trial, record achieved wide-open throttle, load balance, temperatures, smoke, vibration and joystick behaviour. Speed and consumption claims are meaningful only with load, hull condition, propellers, sea state and test method recorded.
Pros and cons in practical ownership
The strongest argument is spatial efficiency. At this length, the deck gives priority to circulation, seating and access to the water. A bathing platform, aft garage and outdoor galley can make swimming, lunch and short transfers straightforward. IPS propulsion assists close-quarters manoeuvring and frees accommodation volume compared with conventional shafts, but it also puts more valuable machinery below the waterline and requires appropriate expertise.
The main limitation is that this remains closer to an open day cruiser with overnight capability than an all-weather enclosed cruiser. The T-top shades the helm but does not create a saloon. Wind, sun and rain therefore shape how often the full deck can be used. Four berths may be available, yet privacy, storage and water capacity deserve close scrutiny for extended cruising.
Exterior upholstery, deck finishes, the hydraulic platform and numerous options add comfort and maintenance exposure at the same time. A long equipment list is not automatically an advantage. Generator, air conditioning, stabilisation, electric awnings and navigation electronics add value only when their installation, service status and replacement path are credible.
Ideal use and the right owner
The Pardo 43 suits owners who regularly carry guests, want an unobstructed route between bow and stern, and spend much of the day at anchor. It makes sense for fast day trips, weekends for a couple or small family, and coastal passages with services within reach. Joystick control can reduce workload, but it does not replace boat-handling skill, passage planning or awareness of windage.
It is less suitable for a buyer who prioritises a fully enclosed helm, several private cabins or long autonomy between stops. Berthing should be priced before purchase: 14 metres overall, 4.20 metres of beam and IPS appendages affect marina choices, lifting arrangements and technical costs.
Used-boat checks before commitment
Begin by separating hull, systems and propulsion. Out of the water, an independent surveyor should inspect the bottom, structural joins, repairs, abnormal moisture, seacocks, hydraulic platform and drive installation. A past strike involving an IPS leg may be expensive even when the boat still handles normally at low speed.
In the machinery space, look for leaks, degraded hoses or wiring, tired mounts and mismatched serials. Oil or coolant analysis may be appropriate. Records should cover engines and drives, scheduled component changes, propeller work, anodes, applicable campaigns, and repairs to joystick or dynamic-positioning equipment. Low hours do not offset prolonged inactivity or missing maintenance.
Operate the bimini, tables, garage door, gangway and platform repeatedly rather than accepting a single demonstration. Run drains, freshwater pump, calorifier, air conditioning and generator under realistic loads. Inspect for water entry around the windscreen, T-top fastenings, hatches and deck hardware, then test batteries and charging. Finally reconcile the actual inventory, CE documents, tax evidence, repair file and contract specification.
Alternatives and mission-led comparison
| Model | Core approach | Reason to shortlist | Trade-off against Pardo 43 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fjord 44 Open | open walkaround | broad, modular exterior deck | weather protection and accommodation need scrutiny |
| Solaris Power 44 Open | Mediterranean walkaround | deck circulation and finish focus | configurations and prices can vary widely |
| Wallytender 43 | performance dayboat | distinctive exterior plan | more dayboating-oriented mission |
| Evo R4 | transforming cruiser | moving sections enlarge the cockpit | extra mechanism complexity |
A useful comparison starts with nights aboard, required weather protection, the number of people moving around, and local support. Horsepower and options matter only after those mission questions are answered.
Observed prices and Batoo methodology
On 10 October 2026, the dossier recorded two asking prices from active, editorially eligible Batoo offers: €650,000 to €840,000, a sample of two. One boat was built in 2019 and the other in 2024; propulsion, stated hours, equipment and represented condition also differ. The span is an inventory observation, not a valuation, market average or predicted transaction price.
To estimate a specific boat, normalize VAT treatment, commission, location, deferred work, genuinely operational equipment and transferable warranty, then reserve funds for survey findings. Batoo also keeps four signals separate: active subscription, identity status, offer freshness and editorial eligibility. This dossier contains one offer attached to an active Broker Pro subscription and zero identity-verified offers. Broker Pro means subscription only; it never guarantees editorial coverage, ranking or a positive assessment.
