In brief

The Marex 360 Cabriolet Cruiser is a planing family cruiser for owners who prioritise cockpit living, an integrated galley and adaptable weather protection, with two cabins below. It best suits four-person coastal trips. Its main caveat is the trade-off between a generous social deck, one bathroom and no separate lower saloon.

The Marex 360 Cabriolet Cruiser places most daytime living on one level: helm, galley and a convertible cockpit form a shared social area, while two cabins and one bathroom sit below. That is a deliberate layout for family coastal cruising, especially when rapid weather protection matters as much as open-air use. This guide separates official specifications, Batoo listing observations, editorial analysis and unresolved unit-level questions.

Design, dimensions and platform variants

Marex describes the 360 CC as a planing open cabin cruiser. Its defining feature is a wraparound cockpit enclosure stored within the superstructure, allowing the main deck to change from open to sheltered without becoming a conventional fixed hardtop. A door through the windscreen provides a direct route forward in addition to the side decks.

Overall length depends on the bathing platform. The current model page gives 11.49 m for the long version, while the official brochure distinguishes 10.99 m with the short platform from 11.49 m with the long one; beam is 3.49 m. The two lengths found in the Batoo dossier should therefore remain separate configuration values, never averaged.

The 2018 launch specification is not identical to today’s page. It stated 680 litres of fuel, 375 litres of water and about 7,700 kg, whereas the current page lists 750, 350 and 190 litres for the principal tanks. Date and development explain that documentation changed, but only the plate, manuals and build records settle which values apply to a particular boat.

Specifications, accommodation and engine choices

The official arrangement provides two cabins, one bathroom and four fixed berths plus two convertible berths. The forward bed is listed at 1.70 × 2.00 m and the midships bed at 1.80 × 2.00 m; quoted headroom is 1.93 m in the cockpit and 1.92 m below. These dimensions support the family-cruiser brief, although buyers should still test access and usable space in person.

The current engine menu includes single and twin Volvo Penta sterndrives, reverse-V shaft installations and twin 270 hp Mercury diesels with Bravo3 drives. Volvo’s 2 × D4-320 DPI option matches one Batoo unit, while the other reports twin 270 hp Mercury power, also recognised by the builder. Marex quotes 36 knots maximum and 24 knots cruising, but labels its figures approximate; load, hull condition, propellers, sea state and installation all matter.

Official standard features include a bow thruster, interceptors or trim tabs, heating, a 182-litre drawer refrigerator, gas hob and oven, a 60-litre water heater and two automatic bilge pumps. A generator, air conditioning, solar panels and active corrosion protection appear as options. Equipment on a used boat must consequently be inventoried and tested rather than inferred from a generic model list.

Reasoned strengths and limitations

The principal strength is continuity between helm, cooking and seating. Marex says the cockpit can seat ten, and a forward-facing triple companion seat keeps several guests engaged while underway. For owners who eat and socialise outside, the arrangement avoids isolating the skipper from everyone else.

The quick enclosure extends the usable season, but fabric panels, runners, fasteners and drainage points add maintenance. Devoting so much volume to the main deck also removes a separate lower saloon; crews seeking a fully enclosed lounge on wet days may prefer another architecture. One bathroom serving two cabins is efficient for a family but can become restrictive with several adults.

At 3.49 m wide with diesel installations and a substantial displacement, this is more demanding to berth, lift and operate than a light dayboat. The windscreen door improves the forward route, yet visibility, handholds and movement should be assessed with the enclosure both deployed and stowed. These are Batoo design inferences, not first-hand sea-trial findings.

Ideal use and the owner it suits

The clearest use case is multi-day coastal cruising for four, with occasional extra guests. Separate sleeping cabins work for parents and children or two couples, while the cockpit becomes the daytime saloon. Heating and enclosure panels help in shoulder seasons; full opening suits warmer conditions.

It is less convincing for six people living aboard for long periods, owners requiring two heads, or anyone wanting a fully isolated wheelhouse. Buyers who spend most time at displacement speed should compare fuel use and low-speed handling across installations, because no single consumption curve represents every 360 CC. Intended use should determine the drive package, not merely the largest horsepower number.

Commercial eligibility signals must remain distinct. For the two dossier offers, subscriptionactive, offerfresh and editorialeligible are positive; identityverified is reported separately, and the count of identity-verified offers is zero. Broker Pro means an active Batoo subscription only: it is not identity or KYB verification and never guarantees editorial coverage, ranking, a favourable assessment or inclusion in the stable article.

Used-boat checks and sea trial priorities

Begin by establishing the boat’s technical identity: HIN, model year, short or long platform, CE plate, manuals, stated weights and capacities. The dossier’s different length and draft figures can reflect platform and propulsion choices, but documents must resolve them. Apply the same discipline to every item claimed as standard equipment.

Inspect enclosure tension, seams, clear panels, zips, tracks, drains and storage pockets. Around the cockpit, look for water paths near the windscreen, forward door and fittings, then operate the table and seating through every configuration. Below, examine window surrounds for moisture, ventilation in the midships cabin, bathroom plumbing and bilges.

An independent marine engineer should inspect the machinery. Logged hours, electronic diagnostics and invoices need to agree; sterndrives, bellows, shafts, propellers and galvanic protection deserve an out-of-water examination. A trial should cover cold start, low-speed control, expected engine rpm, temperatures, vibration, smoke and trim response. Listing data cannot replace a survey, fluid analysis or verification of tax and ownership documents.

Alternatives and programme comparison

Alternatives should be shortlisted by layout rather than length alone. The Marex 330 Scandinavia gives greater wheelhouse protection; the Marex 310 Sun Cruiser reduces size and operating burden while retaining a cockpit-led concept. A Nimbus T11 leans toward fast day boating, whereas a Grandezza 37 CA offers a more enclosed cabin-cruiser arrangement.

Marex 310 Sun CruiserSmaller open cruiserBerthing cost versus accommodation
Nimbus T11Fast day cruiserExposure, modularity and overnight comfort

A meaningful comparison holds year, engines, VAT status, hours and equipment constant. Similar length does not ensure the same use profile, and a headline speed says little about range, comfort or maintenance exposure.

Observed price range and methodology

On 19 September 2026, the dossier contained two asking prices from active, editorially eligible Batoo offers: €430,000 and €570,000, producing an observed range of €430,000–€570,000. The sample covers only two boats, built in 2022 and 2025. It is neither a valuation nor an average market transaction price.

Year, engine package, hours, options, condition, VAT position and negotiation may contribute to the spread, but the available data cannot assign a reliable amount to each factor. Batoo’s method records eligible asking prices in one currency at one observation time. A purchase decision still requires genuinely comparable boats, maintenance history, a survey and a quantified refit budget.
