Defined by its limited production run of only 24 units in the early 1980s, this Riva Caribe 42 stands as a rare and iconic motoryacht. With a length of 12.8 meters and a beam of 3.8 meters, this flybridge sport yacht has been maintained in excellent condition, benefiting from a comprehensive 2025 restoration. The project encompassed a full overhaul of the hull, propulsion systems, onboard electronics, and stainless steel fittings.
Performance on the water is supported by engines capable of reaching a maximum speed of 30 knots, with a comfortable cruising speed of 25 knots. The 2025 refit included a total engine disassembly and rebuild, covering injectors, alternators, turbines, and starters, alongside a complete service of the power generator. Furthermore, the hydraulic and electrical systems were renewed, including the steering gear, through-hull fittings, and plumbing, complemented by the installation of six new batteries.
Designed with a practical layout for 10 people on board, the vessel features one cabin and one bath. The interior and exterior details reflect the meticulous nature of the restoration, which extended to the re-chroming of all hull steel, a full repaint of the bilge, and the installation of new awnings. Detailed documentation of all work performed during the 2025/2026 period is available for inspection.
This classic flybridge yacht is ideal for collectors or enthusiasts seeking a piece of boating history that has been brought up to modern operational standards.
