The lamination of the floors reinforces the hull and distributes the load of the keel and maneuvers. The counter mold, with its perfect surface finish, offers additional storage space under the floorboards and is easy to clean. The NPG gel coat improves osmotic resistance. ### Deck The infused deck offers an optimal stiffness/weight ratio, as well as excellent thermal and acoustic insulation. The counter mold coating is impeccable. "Diamond head" non-slip surface in all work and transit areas. Solid laminate reinforcements are integrated for mounting hardware and accessories (winches, rails, shrouds, cleats). To prolong the life of the boat, the Dufour engineering department has chosen to minimize the use of structural wood inserts placed under the deck hardware. ### Hull/Deck Joint A straight deck line forms the joint between the hull and deck. It ensures a watertight assembly between the hull and deck and improves safety when moving on deck. The wooden edge profile of the deck highlights the deck line and also serves as a non-aggressive foot protection. The flat joint between the transom and the hull contributes to the overall aesthetics. ### Keel The keel undergoes a factory treatment that prolongs its life before assembly (anti-corrosion and improved finish with paint and epoxy-based coatings). The wide plate keel is bolted to the boat via a stainless steel support plate. The (bulb) keel is made of cast iron - draft 2.00 m. An optional deep cast iron and lead keel with a draft of 2.35 m offers better sailing performance (reduced curvature and improved upwind) with reasonable draft, lower center of gravity, and greater stability. ### Steering System - 2 stainless steel steering wheels covered in leather. Diameter: 1,100 mm - The wheels can be comfortably operated from the helmsman's side bench. Transmission system via chain and cranks connected to the rudder quadrant. - Semi-elliptical rudder blade – based on the latest hydrodynamic research – filled with high-density cellular epoxy resin to prevent water infiltration. - The solid stainless steel shaft of the rudder blade is mounted on self-aligning bearings that offer lighter and more precise steering in all weather conditions. - Stainless steel emergency bar with cockpit access hatch. ### Mooring and Anchoring The mooring and anchoring equipment includes: - Self-draining anchor locker with hatch. - 1.5 kW electric windlass, mounted vertically. Remote control box located in the sail locker. - 1 chain wheel. - 2 bow rollers with stainless steel fittings (the boat can be used with the anchor stowed on deck) - 6 stainless steel cleats for mooring lines and springs. - 6 stainless steel backing plates. - Fender storage compartment in the aft locker or sail locker. - 1 Delta anchor 25 kg - Anchor chain 30 m Ø 12 and rope 60 m Ø 22 - 2 mooring lines 15 m Ø 18, 1 mooring line 42 m Ø 18 - 6 large fenders. ### Safety Open stainless steel bow pulpit facilitates access to the boat and spinnaker handling. 2 stainless steel stern pulpits with lifebuoy, flag, and outboard motor supports. The boat is surrounded by double lifelines with 2 large gates. The lifeline stanchions are fixed via stainless steel plates bolted to the deck. - 2 teak handrails for the top of the cabin ensure greater safety on deck. - 1 handrail aft of the cockpit table.
